Description

  • Execute sales strategies to grow the Northern Southland territory and meet ambitious revenue targets.
  • Conduct on-farm sales meetings to understand prospect needs and communicate product value clearly.
  • Build and grow a pipeline of qualified farms, while reducing sales cycle times.
  • Manage newly sourced and inbound leads through screening, qualification, and early-stage pipeline progression.
  • Build and leverage industry relationships to strengthen Halter’s brand and generate opportunities.
  • Work with the Business Development Manager on monthly and quarterly revenue forecasting.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to improve, speed up, and make the sales process more predictable.
  • Share field insights with Product, Support, and regional sales teams to improve customer fit and product effectiveness.
  • Act as Halter’s on-the-ground representative in the region and travel daily to meet farmers.
  • Support long-term customer satisfaction and value delivery within the territory.

Requirements

  • Based within the Northern Southland region, ideally Gore, and able to travel daily to meet farmers.
  • Experience in farm systems or within the agricultural sector.
  • Proven success growing new business and owning the end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to close.
  • Track record as a hunter who is driven to exceed goals in a sales role.
  • Strong drive, passion, and enthusiasm for helping farmers succeed.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Phenomenal attitude and strong teamwork skills with the ability to overcome challenges consistently.
  • Hunger for success and personal growth, with the ability to evolve quickly alongside a world-class sales team.
  • Preference for candidates with strong field experience and a hands-on approach to customer engagement.
