Description

  • Develop and execute regional, national, or international growth plans aligned with the firm’s strategic framework.
  • Lead assigned market groups to achieve at least 10% year-over-year growth in core markets and submarkets.
  • Collaborate with convergence directors, regional directors, regional design directors, consulting leaders, and practice leaders to support collective firmwide success.
  • Identify growth opportunities through new client relationships, strategic partnerships, and selective pursuit of work.
  • Support the launch of new office locations, services, business lines, and other capabilities.
  • Shape and assess market strategies, business plans, and entrepreneurial initiatives that advance firm growth.
  • Act as a visible internal and external brand ambassador for CannonDesign and its sub-brands.
  • Partner with BMBD leadership to develop content, media presence, and brand-building opportunities.
  • Represent the firm at national events, conferences, think tanks, workshops, and conventions.
  • Build and maintain a broad professional network that creates opportunities for the firm and its markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
  • Significant experience with a proven track record in the assigned markets.
  • Progressive leadership experience at well-known and highly respected organizations within the relevant markets.
  • Strong visibility and positive reputation within industry networks relevant to the firm.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership presence at industry events and professional forums.
  • Recognizable personal brand and professional reputation aligned with CannonDesign’s values and ambitions.
  • Ability to travel significantly.
  • Experience leading growth strategies and business development in a multi-market or multi-office environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with strategic planning, market development, and partnership building is preferred.
  • A portfolio and resume are required when applying.
