Description

  • Define quality engineering scope and procedures for the application, including automated test script development and maintenance.
  • Determine the best automation framework to enable developers to own testing as part of acceptance criteria.
  • Design and build agent-driven test automation frameworks for web, API, and mobile platforms.
  • Develop AI agents for test case generation using product specs, user flows, and historical defects.
  • Implement self-healing automation to improve test stability and reduce maintenance overhead.
  • Test APIs for resiliency, latency, and performance across multiple components.
  • Extend tests into automated build tests and support quality implementation in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand customer needs and prioritize important application features.
  • Create reusable components and packages for use across other applications.
  • Triage issues, assess test coverage at unit, integration, and end-to-end levels, and help prevent production incidents.
  • Lead workshops, trainings, and community-of-practice sessions to improve the testing lifecycle.
  • Own testing metrics and reporting to identify gaps and drive improvements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test.
  • Experience building mobile and web automation with Appium and Cypress.
  • Experience with API automation frameworks such as Rest Assured or Kotest.
  • Hands-on experience or strong interest in AI/LLM-based systems, agentic workflows, or intelligent automation.
  • Experience with self-healing automation frameworks for mobile, web, and API testing.
  • Ability to communicate and plan automation enablement with the development team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex problems in large systems.
  • Experience with ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD providers to integrate test suites.
  • Deep understanding of API and microservice testing.
  • Proven ability to triage bugs to root cause.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Experience with JIRA and Atlassian products for work management and dashboards.
  • Preferred: experience with non-functional testing automation and tools such as K6 or JMeter.
  • Preferred: experience testing GraphQL.
  • Preferred: experience with Java-based test processes and frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, JMeter, and Appium.
  • Preferred: prior consulting experience and ability to handle ambiguous technical situations.
