Description

  • Define and drive GitLab’s enterprise architecture strategy for internal systems across core business platforms.
  • Establish and lead the Architecture Review Board and guide early-stage technical decisions with system owners and project teams.
  • Design and govern integration architectures and data flow patterns, including API-first, point-to-point, data warehouse, and reverse ETL approaches.
  • Create and execute the automation strategy across agentic AI, RPA, and traditional integration technologies.
  • Lead efforts to reduce shadow IT and software sprawl through software governance, portfolio rationalization, and centralization of fragmented solutions.
  • Ensure enterprise, integration, and intelligent automation architectures meet SOX, security, and audit-ready compliance requirements.
  • Align decentralized system roadmaps with enterprise architecture standards and identify and address technical debt.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to Integration, RPA, and IA Engineering teams.
  • Partner with Data Governance and other cross-functional stakeholders on architecture and integration decisions.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience defining and governing enterprise architecture in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience leading architecture strategy across ERP, CRM, CPQ, billing, and financial platforms.
  • Deep technical background across integration, automation, and AI.
  • Expert-level knowledge of data modeling, integration architecture patterns, API design, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience designing integration strategies that support both operational and analytical use cases.
  • Strong experience establishing and leading architecture review boards or similar governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success reducing shadow IT and software sprawl through software governance and portfolio rationalization.
  • Deep understanding of SOX compliance, internal controls, and security architecture for business applications.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage VP and C-level stakeholders.
  • Experience applying business capability and enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF is required or highly relevant.
