Description

  • Shape requirements for complex programs and develop engineering and staffing plans to support roadmaps, customer needs, and delivery timelines.
  • Create proposal packages, roadmaps, staffing plans, presentations, RFI responses, and white paper templates for reuse by other Solutions Architects.
  • Partner with growth and engineering to communicate current Mission Command capabilities and future possibilities to senior government customers and partner company leadership.
  • Develop exercise strategies to improve win probability for future opportunities and lead large-scale exercise execution.
  • Work with external companies to define prototype approaches for combined capabilities and coordinate complex prototype delivery with engineering.
  • Own multiple complex deliverables with autonomy and serve as a go-to resource for initial technical conversations about Mission Command partnerships and opportunities.
  • Navigate complex organizational and engineering problems while balancing timelines, budgets, and people.
  • Support early customer engagement to understand user needs, gather requirements, and help win programs.

Requirements

  • Understanding of military operations and command structures.
  • Knowledge of mission systems or battle management systems.
  • 2-3 years of experience supporting proposal and capture activities, including familiarity with DoD acquisition processes.
  • 5-8 years of hands-on technical work experience, such as software development experience.
  • Experience applying technical expertise to integrated system challenges and demonstrating commercial products.
  • Experience with network infrastructure, protocols, and technologies.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance.
  • Experience in technical leadership roles, such as an engineering manager, preferred.
  • Experience in rapid capability fielding or equivalent commercial capability delivery, preferred.
  • Experience transitioning prototype efforts into production, preferred.
  • Technical leadership experience delivering solutions within cost, schedule, and technical constraints, preferred.
  • Ability to work in organizations with minimal structure and minimal direction, preferred.
  • Experience with military software standards such as CoT, Link-16, and ASTERIX, preferred.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant technical discipline, preferred.
