Description

  • Own end-to-end commission calculation, validation, and payout operations across all sales incentive plans.
  • Ensure commissions are calculated accurately and paid on time with clear, defensible application of plan rules.
  • Interpret Incentive Plan Documents and translate plan language into system logic.
  • Lead annual and new-hire incentive plan document development, distribution, onboarding alignment, and version control.
  • Validate deal attribution, crediting, splits, overlays, accelerators, and timing logic.
  • Partner with Finance on monthly accruals, forecasting, reconciliation, and payout approvals.
  • Deliver reconciled commission files to Payroll and maintain alignment across CRM, ERP, and commission systems.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for commission rules, exceptions, and calculation methodologies.
  • Manage rep inquiries and disputes within defined service-level expectations.
  • Own the exception review process and ensure all adjustments are documented, approved, and traceable.
  • Build reporting dashboards that provide leadership visibility into commissions, attainment, trends, and risk.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process, control, and structural improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or equivalent experience.
  • 6–8 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Commissions Operations, or Finance.
  • Experience owning commission calculation and payout processes in a high-growth or complex sales environment.
  • Familiarity with commission platforms such as Xactly, CaptivateIQ, Spiff, or similar tools.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience partnering closely with Finance on accruals and reconciliation.
  • Advanced Excel expertise, including complex formulas, pivot tables, large dataset reconciliation, and audit-ready controls.
  • Experience managing Incentive Plan Document distribution and acknowledgment workflows through DocuSign or similar platforms.
  • Advanced analytical skills and data fluency; SQL or data querying experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and operationalize complex compensation plans consistently and accurately.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining commission logic to Sales, Finance, and executive stakeholders.
  • High ownership, accountability, and operational discipline.
  • Ability to manage sensitive conversations and resolve disputes professionally and objectively.
  • Executive presence and the ability to build trust with senior leadership.
  • Ability to travel up to less than 10% as business needs require.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided.
  • Role requires sedentary physical capacity, primarily desk/computer work.
  • Remote role based flexibly across U.S. time zones.
  • Cannot hire employees located in Quebec or Ontario Provinces, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Louisiana, or Oklahoma.
