Description

  • Partner with the Sales team to present Datadog’s value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
  • Own technical engagement with customers during the trial phase and drive evaluation activities to completion.
  • Support and close complex opportunities using technical credibility and competitive knowledge.
  • Deliver product and technical briefings and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Maintain accurate customer notes and feedback in CRM, including wins and losses.
  • Proactively share customer feedback and competitive insights with Datadog business and technical teams.
  • Work with customers to identify, address, and resolve technical issues or concerns during evaluations.
  • Help influence product priorities by relaying feedback from customers, competitors, and partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role.
  • Experience with programming or scripting in one or more of the following: Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, or .NET.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain both business value and technical advantages of the product offering.
  • Passion for educating customers on observability risks and building evaluation plans with customers.
  • Ability to sit for up to 4 hours while traveling to and from client sites.
  • Ability to travel by auto, train, or air up to 45% of the time.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers or technical evaluations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud monitoring or observability concepts is preferred.
