Description

  • Own and execute the PBM sales strategy to meet and exceed annual growth targets.
  • Drive net-new business by targeting and winning accounts from legacy PBM competitors.
  • Leverage an existing network of PBM and health plan executives, consultants, and brokers to build a strong pipeline.
  • Lead the full sales cycle for top PBMs, mid-market accounts, and enterprise accounts, including prospecting, finalist presentations, negotiations, and closures.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Actuarial, and Legal teams to develop competitive pricing and customized financial models.
  • Negotiate complex contract terms and structure winning deal arrangements.
  • Build on and support the existing sales and account management teams.
  • Represent the company in high-stakes finalist meetings and executive-level sales conversations.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting preferred.
  • 8–10 years of direct sales experience in the PBM, digital health pharmacy, or health insurance space.
  • Documented history of consistently hitting or exceeding multi-million-dollar sales quotas.
  • Experience winning major enterprise clients from established industry players.
  • Active, established network of national and regional benefits consultants and brokers, such as Mercer, WTW, Aon, and Lockton.
  • Strong understanding of PBM mechanics, including formulary management, clinical programs, specialty pharmacy, pricing models, and rebate structures.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to command a room during finalist meetings.
  • Own and maintain uninterrupted internet service for work-from-home responsibilities.
  • Ability to meet working conditions that may include travel, lifting, bending, long periods of sitting, and computer work.
