Description

  • Own and evolve the full subscriber lifecycle from lead nurture and activation through retention, reactivation, win-back, upsell, cross-sell, and referral.
  • Build and maintain detailed lifecycle journey maps that document customer states, trigger events, friction points, milestones, risks, and interventions.
  • Partner with Product, Growth, Creative, Clinical, Customer Care, Engineering, Data & Analytics, Medical, and Finance to improve the subscriber experience and align lifecycle strategy with business goals.
  • Write creative briefs for lifecycle campaigns and collaborate with Brand and Creative on email and SMS assets.
  • Develop initiatives to improve retention and reduce voluntary and involuntary churn through messaging, payment recovery, education, habit formation, and predictive intervention.
  • Design reactivation and win-back programs segmented by churn reason, time since cancellation, clinical history, engagement, product usage, and prior offers.
  • Deliver personalized lifecycle experiences using behavioral data, purchase history, treatment stage, subscriber tenure, and predicted churn or lifetime value.
  • Maintain an always-on experimentation roadmap across onboarding, education, offers, cadence, timing, channels, creative, segmentation, cancellation flows, and pricing.
  • Own lifecycle reporting and use performance metrics such as LTV, retention, churn, save rate, reactivation rate, trial-to-paid conversion, and LTV:CAC to guide decisions.
  • Serve as the point person for CRM operations, including tech stack oversight, deliverability monitoring, vendor management, budgeting, and forecasting.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience leading lifecycle marketing or CRM for a subscription, D2C, or recurring-revenue business.
  • Proven track record of improving retention, reducing churn, and increasing customer lifetime value.
  • Deep understanding of subscription economics, retention strategy, and cohort analysis.
  • Experience designing complex, multi-channel lifecycle journeys across email, SMS, push, in-app, and onsite experiences.
  • Fluency with CRM system fundamentals, including data architecture, coding best practices, and deliverability management.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM or ESP platforms such as Iterable, Klaviyo, Braze, Customer.io, or Recharge; Iterable is preferred.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, budgeting, and forecasting for CRM/ESP partnerships.
  • Strong analytical skills using SQL and tools such as Looker, Tableau, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Hex, or GA4.
  • Ability to turn data into a clear narrative for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional experimentation and influence Product, Engineering, Growth, and Creative without formal authority.
  • Working familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini and good judgment in applying and validating them for lifecycle work.
