Description

  • Own the full sales cycle from inbound lead to close for accounts in the sub-250 employee segment.
  • Engage with data engineers, platform architects, and technical founders to understand use cases, data volumes, query patterns, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Troubleshoot schema design, ingestion patterns, and integration challenges during the evaluation process.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout customer evaluations.
  • Identify and convert expansion opportunities within the existing self-serve and product-led customer base.
  • Partner with Solutions Engineers on complex evaluations and advocate for customer needs internally with Product and Engineering.
  • Maintain detailed pipeline hygiene in Salesforce, including technical context, decision criteria, stakeholders, and next steps.
  • Contribute to playbooks, objection-handling guides, and onboarding materials that help the team scale.
  • Participate in developer community events, technical meetups, and online forums where users gather.

Requirements

  • Technical experience from a data engineer, solutions engineer/architect, software engineer, or similar background.
  • Comfort with the modern data stack, including columnar databases, streaming ingestion tools such as Kafka or Kinesis, cloud infrastructure, and SQL-heavy analytics workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with ClickHouse, DuckDB, Druid, Pinot, BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar technologies is a strong plus.
  • Some customer-facing experience in pre-sales, technical account management, solutions engineering, or customer success.
  • Ability to move quickly in short sales cycles and remove technical blockers without being pushy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts clearly.
  • Curiosity about the business side of technology and why companies buy.
  • Ownership mentality and comfort operating autonomously without a playbook.
  • Prior closing experience is not required.
