Description

  • Research and identify prospective Democratic campaigns, progressive organizations, unions, nonprofits, political committees, and government bodies.
  • Build targeted prospect lists and maintain accurate lead data in HubSpot.
  • Conduct multi-channel outreach through cold email, phone calls, and social media.
  • Communicate Civitech’s value proposition and assess prospective partners’ needs, goals, and fit.
  • Conduct discovery calls and qualify leads for the sales pipeline.
  • Schedule meetings and product demonstrations between qualified prospects and the sales team.
  • Nurture early-stage prospects with relevant information and resources.
  • Track outreach, communications, and lead status in the CRM.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales and sales team on outreach strategies, messaging, and campaign tactics.
  • Share market feedback, lead-quality insights, and campaign results with sales and marketing teams.

Requirements

  • Commitment to using technology and data products to support Democratic candidates, progressive causes, and civic participation.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in business development, sales development, or a similar client-facing role.
  • Experience researching and identifying prospective partners through a targeted, methodical approach.
  • Proven ability to generate interest through email, phone, and social-media outreach.
  • Ability to conduct discovery conversations and qualify prospective partners.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools.
  • Independent U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Ability to work remotely from an eligible Civitech state or from the Austin, Texas co-working space.
  • Experience working or volunteering on a political campaign, at a nonprofit, or with a progressive advocacy organization (preferred).
  • Familiarity with civic technology, voter data applications, high-growth SaaS/startup environments, or remote-first work (preferred).
