Description

  • Identify and research potential partners such as Democratic campaigns, progressive organizations, unions, nonprofits, political committees, and government bodies.
  • Use multi-channel outreach, including cold email, social media, and phone calls, to generate interest and start conversations.
  • Build and maintain targeted prospect lists and keep partner data accurate in HubSpot CRM.
  • Conduct initial discovery calls to understand prospect needs, goals, and challenges.
  • Qualify leads against established criteria and prepare them for the next stage of the sales process.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and product demonstrations for qualified prospects.
  • Nurture early-stage relationships by sharing relevant information and resources.
  • Track outreach, communication, and lead status in the CRM to maintain an organized pipeline.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales and the broader sales and marketing teams to refine messaging, outreach strategies, and campaign tactics.
  • Share market feedback, lead quality insights, and campaign performance observations with internal teams.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales development, or a similar client-facing role.
  • Hands-on experience prospecting and researching potential partners in a targeted, methodical way.
  • Proven success with multi-channel outreach using email, phone calls, and social media.
  • Experience conducting discovery conversations and qualifying leads.
  • Proficiency with a CRM such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or a similar platform.
  • Commitment to using technology and data products to support Democratic candidates and progressive causes.
  • Preferred: experience working or volunteering on a political campaign, for a nonprofit, or in a progressive advocacy organization.
  • Preferred: familiarity with the political and civic technology landscape, including voter data and its applications.
  • Preferred: prior experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology startup environment.
  • Preferred: ability to thrive and stay self-motivated in a remote-first work environment.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; Civitech does not provide visa sponsorship.
  • Must work within Civitech’s current footprint of 27 states or from the Austin, TX co-working space.
