Description

  • Serve as the primary People partner to EMEA leaders, including the GVP of Sales and engineering leadership.
  • Own end-to-end employee relations across the region, including sensitive cases and formal investigations.
  • Lead quarterly and annual performance management cycles across multiple EMEA markets.
  • Partner on region-specific compensation benchmarking and guidance for hiring, promotions, and annual reviews.
  • Advise managers on country-specific employment requirements, works councils, statutory notice periods, collective bargaining, and GDPR.
  • Partner with Legal and outside counsel on jurisdiction-specific employment risk and compliance matters.
  • Work with People Ops and L&D to support onboarding, leadership development, and culture programs.
  • Stand up local-market people infrastructure as Chainguard opens new entities in the UK and Germany.
  • Use people data and analytics to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Support the broader EMEA footprint and coordinate with the US People team as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a People Business Partner or equivalent with hands-on exposure to multi-country EMEA populations.
  • Working fluency in employment law across key EMEA markets, including the UK, Germany, France, Ireland, and the Netherlands.
  • Experience independently owning employee relations and investigations without a dedicated ER team.
  • Background in a startup or high-growth technical company.
  • Strong consulting, coaching, and facilitation skills with the ability to build trust quickly with senior stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating with autonomy across time zones and making independent judgment calls.
  • Willingness to travel across the region as needed.
  • Based in the UK is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with an EOR such as Remote is a strong plus.

  • Base salary range of £104,000–£141,000 GBP.
