Description

  • Develop and manage relationships with key decision makers at sell-side research departments and independent research firms across APAC.
  • Prospect for new research sources and maintain a strong pipeline of partnership opportunities.
  • Meet content acquisition and retention goals in coordination with the Global Head of Broker Relations and the Chief Content Officer.
  • Pitch AlphaSense’s value proposition to research stakeholders and handle objections during partnership discussions.
  • Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with new and existing research/content partners.
  • Manage renewals and renegotiations with current research/content contributors.
  • Support project management for partnership initiatives with research/content providers.
  • Analyze competing products, gather customer feedback on workflows and pain points, and document actionable insights.
  • Work with research product managers and other stakeholders to support research/content launches, including announcements, collateral, documentation, and training.
  • Monitor contributor research usage and communicate quarterly royalty payment and usage reports to contributors.
  • Track industry trends and share competitive intelligence to inform product vision.

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in financial services at a research/content vendor, sell-side firm, or independent research firm, with a focus on sell-side investment research.
  • Strong existing senior relationships and knowledge of a variety of research/content providers.
  • Experience in commercial and contractual negotiation with research contributors, including navigating complex commercial terms and blockers.
  • Effective communication skills with external broker contacts at all levels and internal colleagues.
  • Subject-matter expertise with research feeds, metadata, document types, and research delivery types is a plus.
  • Self-starter who can work independently, collaborate with a team, and manage a small team.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams across different time zones.
  • Strong analytical skills and outstanding attention to detail.
  • Ability to set priorities, stay focused, and meet deadlines.
  • Solid Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides, and Salesforce experience.
  • Experience at a B2B SaaS and/or enterprise software company is preferred.
  • Business proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Japanese is a plus.
