Description

  • Achieve annual sales targets and grow the client base in assigned regional or market segments.
  • Develop and deliver client presentations and lead the internal proposal development process, including draft proposals, cost estimates, and quality control.
  • Support contract negotiations with the VP and Contracts team and lead negotiations for select clients.
  • Drive business development marketing activities through trade and scientific conferences and collaboration on brochures, web content, and presentations.
  • Support strategic sales planning, implementation, and geographic or new market expansion efforts.
  • Meet regularly with existing and prospective sponsors to understand needs, present capabilities, and assess satisfaction.
  • Partner with Project Operations to communicate project updates, address issues, and manage client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate and current CRM records for leads, contacts, opportunities, and customer interactions in HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor offerings and contribute client and sales input to new product, service, and growth strategies.
  • Support Operations, Contracts, and QA teams in vendor sourcing, RFP review, vendor qualification, and budget monitoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Honors Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of related experience, or a college diploma with at least 8 years of related experience.
  • Ability to cover EST-based clients.
  • Science or business degree preferred.
  • Industry experience required.
  • Proven track record in B2B sales and business development in clinical research, CRO, or a related life sciences services sector.
  • Experience with proposal development, RFP responses, and contract negotiation.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitor positioning and translate insights into sales strategies.
  • Strong communication skills across technical, scientific, and executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow a regional client base in a CRO or life sciences environment.
  • Experience managing executive-level client relationships and complex negotiations across multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Continuous training and professional development expected.

Benefits

  • $86,000 - $143,000 annual salary.
  • Sales bonus plan.
  • Full-time, permanent position.
