Description

  • Act as a technical consultant for a variety of customers by delivering ad hoc services tailored to their needs.
  • Scope, shape, and present technical workshops to drive adoption of Algolia’s platform.
  • Advise customers on best practices for search implementation and optimization.
  • Partner with Customer Success Managers to support long-term customer health and delivery of a strong support experience.
  • Collaborate across the organization and escalate issues as needed to confirm solutions or options.
  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to build subject matter expertise and serve as a product expert to customers.
  • Develop, maintain, and present regular case status reports to customers.
  • Proactively identify technical risks and bottlenecks and work with customers to resolve them.
  • Provide guidance on optimizing customer environments.
  • Support Professional and Expert Foundation offerings as a technical owner for assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • Functional knowledge of at least one programming language, such as JavaScript, Java, PHP, C#, Objective-C, Swift, Ruby, or Python.
  • Experience with REST APIs, database management, and web development technologies.
  • Experience delivering technical workshops, including training, knowledge transfer, implementation, or code review sessions.
  • Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts to a broad audience.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences via phone and email.
  • Strong time management, task prioritization, and urgency assessment skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations when required.
  • Familiarity with iOS and Android platforms is a plus.
  • Experience supporting open-source projects and GitHub communities is a plus.
  • Experience with Shopify, Magento, or Salesforce is a plus.
