Description

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for CEG systems and third-party data sources.
  • Develop and optimize data models that support reporting, monitoring, forecasting, QA, and experimentation.
  • Implement data quality, reliability, and observability checks, including validation, anomaly detection, and monitoring.
  • Improve performance and cost efficiency of data jobs and queries through tuning and storage optimization.
  • Standardize data tooling and engineering best practices such as version control, CI/CD, code review, documentation, and runbooks.
  • Design and build internal data tools and products such as dashboards, alerting systems, investigator tools, and QA/review tools.
  • Develop APIs, data services, and lightweight UIs using Python, Java, Golang, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Translate operational pain points into concrete data tools and iterate with product and operations teams.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, metrics, and KPIs for contact operations and customer experience.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis to identify trends, root causes, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Partner with stakeholders across product, operations, analytics, WFM, QA, training, policy, and regional leadership.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level team members and contribute to continuous team improvement and cross-team architecture.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or Data Analyst in a data-driven environment.
  • Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, aggregation, and query optimization.
  • Experience with at least one major data warehouse or big data technology such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Hive, Spark, Vertica, or StarRocks.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools or orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, dbt, or internal frameworks.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language for data and services such as Python, Java, Golang, Kotlin, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience building production-grade data pipelines and/or data services with monitoring, quality, and maintainability in mind.
  • Experience with BI or visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Superset, Metabase, or Looker.
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to frame business questions and turn results into clear insights.
  • Ability to communicate complex topics in simple, concise language to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Experience with event-driven data such as logs, clickstream, customer journey, contact flows, or tracking data.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of data modeling techniques such as dimensional modeling, Kimball, data vault, or star/snowflake schema.
  • Preferred: Experience with A/B testing, experimentation platforms, or causal analysis.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with ML pipelines or collaboration with data science teams on routing models, QA scoring, forecasting, or recommendations.
  • Preferred: Experience in online consumer products, travel, e-commerce, or marketplaces.
  • Preferred: Hands-on frontend or backend development experience, such as building internal tools in React/Next.js or Node.js.
  • Preferred: Prior Staff or Tech-Lead experience driving technical direction and mentoring multiple engineers or analysts.
