Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python (PySpark), Snowflake, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Build reliable and reusable data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Design, build, and optimize Snowflake-based cloud data solutions.
  • Implement and manage Snowflake objects including databases, schemas, tables, views, streams, tasks, stages, and stored procedures.
  • Extract and ingest structured and semi-structured data from REST APIs, relational databases, SaaS applications, flat files, and cloud storage.
  • Develop ingestion frameworks and apply dimensional modeling to enterprise data warehouses.
  • Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to define logical and physical data models aligned with business goals.
  • Support integration with Azure cloud services and establish data engineering standards and best practices.
  • Implement data quality controls, validation frameworks, monitoring, governance, security, and compliance practices.
  • Monitor and optimize workloads, SQL queries, pipelines, and warehouse utilization, and support production incidents and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience developing end-to-end data pipelines using REST APIs, relational databases, cloud storage, and flat files.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake features such as virtual warehouses, streams, tasks, stages, Snowpipe, secure data sharing, and performance optimization.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex query development, performance tuning, and large-scale workload optimization.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling techniques such as star schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience managing source code and CI/CD pipelines with Git and Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred certifications such as SnowPro or Azure Data Engineer Associate, and exposure to Power BI, Tableau, big data technologies, machine learning, or Terraform.
