Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python (PySpark), Snowflake, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Build reliable and reusable data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Design, build, and optimize Snowflake-based cloud data solutions and warehouse structures.
  • Implement and manage Snowflake objects such as databases, schemas, tables, views, streams, tasks, stages, and stored procedures.
  • Ingest structured and semi-structured data from REST APIs, relational databases, SaaS applications, flat files, and cloud storage.
  • Develop robust ingestion frameworks and apply dimensional modeling techniques for enterprise data warehouses.
  • Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to create logical and physical data models aligned with business goals.
  • Implement automated data quality controls, validation frameworks, monitoring processes, and governance/security controls.
  • Monitor and optimize Snowflake workloads, ETL/ELT processes, and SQL queries to meet SLAs and improve cost efficiency.
  • Support production environments, investigate incidents, maintain documentation, and partner with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience developing end-to-end data pipelines extracting, transforming, and loading data from REST APIs, relational databases, cloud storage, and flat files.
  • Hands-on Snowflake experience with virtual warehouses, streams, tasks, stages, Snowpipe, secure data sharing, and performance optimization.
  • Advanced SQL development skills with the ability to write complex queries, tune performance, and optimize large-scale workloads.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling techniques such as star schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience managing source code and CI/CD pipelines using Git and Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of data integration best practices, data governance, and enterprise data management.
  • Preferred qualifications include SnowPro or Azure Data Engineer Associate certifications, experience with big data/ML/advanced analytics, Power BI or Tableau, Agile delivery frameworks, and DevOps practices.
