Description

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue and growth strategy aligned with the company’s mission and long-term goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities across emergency management, disaster recovery, health and human services, logistics, and business continuity.
  • Build and lead a high-performing business development and sales organization, including account management, capture, and proposal teams.
  • Establish KPIs, track progress toward growth goals, and report performance to the executive team.
  • Strengthen strategic partnerships with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, private entities, and industry partners.
  • Champion the company’s market positioning and differentiation in partnership with Marketing and Communications.
  • Oversee go/no-go decisions, pipeline management, CRM implementation, and business development reporting.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Program Delivery, PMO, and SMEs to ensure profitable growth and smooth project transitions.
  • Lead proposal development and responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and proactive proposals.
  • Advise the C-suite on growth strategy, client relationships, and business development priorities.

Requirements

  • 10–15 years of progressive sales, business development, or account management experience.
  • 5–8 years in senior sales leadership roles with direct responsibility for revenue generation.
  • Experience supporting government contracting or public sector procurement.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-million-dollar revenue targets, complex sales cycles, and enterprise or government/public sector accounts.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding annual sales targets and leading teams through growth and scaling phases.
  • Experience developing and executing sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Experience hiring, coaching, and managing sales and account management teams.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in consulting, professional services, emergency management, public sector, or a related industry preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Productive, HubSpot, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Existing industry relationships and professional networks in target markets preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
  • Must be able to pass company and applicable client background and reference checks.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50–75% and deploy to client sites for extended periods.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
