Description

  • Own the commercial analytics function within the Business Insights & Analytics team and report to the Head of Business Insights & Analytics.
  • Rebuild the sales forecasting process from a rules-based spreadsheet approach into a production machine learning pipeline.
  • Redesign the territory performance framework to account for differences across academic and pharma accounts.
  • Develop early-warning models that identify churn risk, stalled accounts, and expansion opportunities before they appear in lagging indicators.
  • Build and monitor ML-based sales forecasting models from feature engineering in Snowflake through deployment and monitoring in AWS.
  • Define model evaluation frameworks, monitor model performance, and alert stakeholders when recalibration is needed.
  • Create proxy metrics and performance frameworks for distributor-led markets such as APAC and EMEA.
  • Conduct analyses on quota attainment, territory performance, and account penetration across geography, account type, product line, and sales rep tenure.
  • Develop customer analyses that translate Salesforce and tool-usage signals into insights on account health, risk, whitespace, and expansion potential.
  • Develop and maintain price elasticity models and translate them into pricing guardrails for CPQ workflows and regional sales guidance.
  • Partner with Product and Software Engineering to define telemetry needed to predict customer expansion and system utilization.
  • Build signal monitoring frameworks that flag at-risk and high-opportunity accounts and integrate outputs into Salesforce workflows.
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior analysts and help raise the team’s technical bar.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or an MBA with a technical focus.
  • 7+ years of experience using analytics to solve complex business problems.
  • Experience with coding in Python or R, querying databases with SQL, and performing statistical analysis.
  • Proven experience deploying machine learning models into production environments.
  • Expert-level proficiency in complex, efficient SQL and in Python or R for data manipulation and predictive modeling.
  • Strong commercial experience with Salesforce CRM, quota and territory assignment, and the B2B enterprise SaaS demand generation funnel.
  • Advanced experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead through ambiguity and influence cross-functional teams.
  • 9+ years of experience in data science or commercial analytics within a high-growth environment (preferred).
  • Experience with MLOps tools and practices to maintain model health and scalability (preferred).
  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or a leading tech-driven organization (preferred).
  • Proven ability to conduct technology assessments and ROI analysis for complex system solutions (preferred).
