Description

  • Produce quantitative opinions for due diligence, milestone, program, competitive, and what-if decision scenarios.
  • Deliver translational predictions with stated confidence and boundary conditions for key development decisions.
  • Quantify probability of pharmacological success by integrating uncertainty across compound, mechanism, and disease dimensions.
  • Translate scientific complexity into recommendations that non-technical stakeholders can use and defend.
  • Carry insights across programs and flag when findings from one company or program are relevant to another.
  • Define context of use for each engagement, including the decision being supported, credibility standard, and cost of error.
  • Translate field discoveries into product requirements for the Applied AI and Engineering teams.
  • Provide expert signal by defining what good predictions look like, curating ground truth, and evaluating output quality.
  • Prototype modeling approaches, review autonomous outputs, and feed failure cases back into regression tests and benchmarks.
  • Execute high-consequence scientific problems requiring expert judgment, set quality standards, and communicate results internally and externally when appropriate.

Requirements

  • PhD in a life sciences discipline with quantitative experience, or in a quantitative life sciences discipline such as pharmacometrics, systems pharmacology, computational biology, or biomedical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, molecular biology, and immunology.
  • Demonstrated expertise building mechanistic models for drug development decisions across multiple therapeutic areas.
  • Ability to translate complex science into recommendations for non-technical decision-makers with excellent communication skills and composure under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Python scientific computing, including scipy, numpy, and pandas, plus numerical ODE integration.
  • Experience operating across multiple concurrent programs and decision types.
  • Experience applying frontier AI and LLM tools to drug development decisions, preferred.
  • Translational breadth across drug modalities such as small molecules, biologics, gene therapy, and novel platforms, preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory credibility frameworks such as ICH M15 and FDA MIDD, preferred.
  • Experience in venture-backed or platform-company environments where analysis supports investment decisions, preferred.
