Description

  • Own and define the strategic roadmap for the Identity & Data Layer across ingest, resolve, enrich, and activate workflows.
  • Lead and inspire an engineering organization of approximately 50–60+ people.
  • Own the evolution of identity resolution and identity graph systems, including deterministic and probabilistic matching, cross-channel identity, and real-time enrichment.
  • Drive the data layer’s role as the context engine for Zeta’s AI-native platform, enabling real-time features, embeddings, and data access for models, agents, and downstream applications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with AI, marketing, product, DevEx, and AI Enablement teams to integrate identity services and improve engineering practices.
  • Ensure platform scalability, accuracy, latency, and reliability meet defined SLAs.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and data governance standards such as CCPA and GDPR.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop senior engineering talent and build succession plans for critical roles.
  • Partner with executive leadership on strategy, investment, prioritization, and long-term platform scalability.
  • Benchmark the platform against industry leaders and drive innovation ahead of the market.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of engineering leadership experience, including significant time leading large-scale identity or data platforms.
  • Deep domain expertise in identity resolution, identity graphs, and data enrichment.
  • Experience from a top competitor or parallel industry is preferred.
  • Understanding of data engineering design patterns and concepts, including data lakehouse, data table formats, zero-copy data sharing, cleanrooms, real-time vs. batch processing, and high-throughput distributed system APIs.
  • Experience with data technologies equivalent to Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
  • Experience with data technologies equivalent to Iceberg, Hudi, or Delta.
  • Experience with tools and systems equivalent to EMR, Airflow, or Spark.
  • Experience with systems equivalent to Aerospike, Scylla, or DynamoDB.
  • Proven experience managing 50+ person organizations, including directors and senior engineering managers.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance, including GDPR and CCPA.
  • Track record of innovation and measurable outcomes, including AI-driven or data-driven product capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
