Description

  • Lead and develop a 100+ person engineering organization across product engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, and data engineering.
  • Build, mentor, and support engineering leaders while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and technical excellence.
  • Partner with Product leadership to design and deliver platforms aligned to product strategy and roadmap commitments.
  • Drive engineering execution across multiple concurrent initiatives and cross-functional product teams.
  • Oversee cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, system reliability, platform architecture, and data engineering initiatives.
  • Establish engineering standards across programming languages and frameworks to improve maintainability, performance, and stability.
  • Implement cybersecurity practices, threat monitoring, and vulnerability management to protect ecommerce platforms and customer data.
  • Lead incident command management practices, including response playbooks, escalation protocols, and operational readiness frameworks.
  • Partner with executive leadership on engineering strategy, technology investments, budgets, infrastructure planning, and vendor relationships.
  • Promote continuous improvement in reliability, uptime, recovery performance, collaboration, and learning across engineering teams.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience leading DevOps or Systems Administration teams.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role with strategic responsibilities.
  • Expertise in designing secure cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and development practices, including Jenkins, Docker, and Chef.
  • Expertise with containers and Kubernetes.
  • Working knowledge of transactional and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong strategic thinking, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Systems administration experience in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Experience leveraging generative AI to improve engineering velocity and workflows.
  • Experience with large-scale, high-availability, high-demand consumer-facing SaaS web products.
  • Experience with Agile development and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Experience in the live events industry preferred.
  • CISSP certification preferred.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred.
  • Must not require work visa sponsorship.
