Description

  • Own end-to-end engineering execution, including roadmap planning, sprint cadence, release quality, and cross-team dependency management.
  • Partner with Product to align engineering capacity with product priorities and surface tradeoffs early.
  • Drive the integration of LLMs, agentic workflows, and AI-native development practices into products at scale.
  • Define standards for AI output quality, hallucination control, cost governance, and production reliability.
  • Embed AI into internal workflows in partnership with ML and AI Transformation teams.
  • Lead architecture reviews and own critical system design and technical decision-making.
  • Own the technical roadmap for distributed systems, platform architecture, scalability, and reliability.
  • Set and enforce standards for code quality, observability, incident response, and security.
  • Lead and grow a distributed engineering organization across the US and India.
  • Manage directors and senior managers, build the hiring process, and recruit senior talent.
  • Represent engineering at the executive level and own budget areas such as headcount, tooling, and cloud costs.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success on enterprise commitments, SLA design, and escalation resolution.

Requirements

  • 14+ years in software engineering, including at least 5 years in engineering leadership.
  • Experience scaling through Series C or equivalent growth-stage environments.
  • Strong IC background with progression through Architect or Principal Engineer roles.
  • Hands-on experience shipping AI/ML systems to production, including LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, or document intelligence.
  • Proven ability to build and scale large distributed platforms with high availability and reliability requirements.
  • Experience partnering with a CTO or CEO on technical strategy.
  • Deep expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native microservices architecture at scale.
  • AWS experience is preferred.
  • Background in fintech, document AI, Intelligent Document Processing, or other regulated data-intensive industries is preferred.
  • Experience leading engineering in human-in-the-loop or hybrid AI/human systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern developer productivity tools and AI-augmented SDLC practices is preferred.
  • Comfort operating across US and India time zones with globally distributed teams is preferred.
