Description

  • Lead a platform engineering organization of around 20 engineers across backend platform, frontend platform, DevOps, architecture, accessibility, and quality assurance.
  • Set the platform technology strategy and own execution against a prioritized roadmap.
  • Identify friction points across engineering and convert them into high-impact platform investments.
  • Own the internal developer platform and tooling that reduce cognitive load for product teams.
  • Oversee AI platform capabilities including model gateways, eval infrastructure, agent frameworks, LLM observability, and safety controls.
  • Own infrastructure, cloud, and DevOps priorities with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Drive frontend platform work including the design system, component library, and shared build tooling.
  • Drive backend platform work including shared services, APIs, and data infrastructure.
  • Set architectural direction and technical standards across the engineering organization.
  • Maintain the platform’s security posture by identifying and closing platform-level vulnerabilities.
  • Mentor engineers and managers and support their growth and career development.
  • Partner closely with the VP of Product Engineering to align platform priorities with product needs.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience leading other leaders.
  • Proven experience leading platform or infrastructure engineering at scale.
  • Experience building or maturing an internal developer platform that engineers adopt by choice.
  • Strong background in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, reliability, and cost management.
  • Experience setting architectural direction across multiple teams and ensuring adoption.
  • Ability to reason about AI and LLM platform needs, including gateways, evals, observability, and safety tooling.
  • Background in fast-scaling SaaS product companies.
  • Curiosity about AI and a willingness to experiment with how teams work.
  • Ability to hire well, set clear standards, and give teams room to own their work.
  • Fluency in English.
