Description

  • Hire, onboard, and manage a team of Senior Cloud Architects/FDEs.
  • Lead customer-facing delivery for cloud workload design, deployment, and optimization across AWS, Google Cloud, and/or Azure.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex cloud topics and ensure clear, high-quality technical resolutions.
  • Guide the team through structured engagements such as cost optimization workshops, architecture deep dives, security and reliability reviews, and product adoption sessions.
  • Drive a proactive engagement model based on customer signals such as usage, health, roadmap gaps, and known risks.
  • Embed FDEs into account teams and coordinate with CSMs, AMs, TAMs, TPOs, and other FDEs.
  • Coach the team to use DCI products hands-on with customers and embed them into FinOps, observability, CI/CD, and governance workflows.
  • Encourage the creation of reusable patterns, including playbooks, Terraform modules, CloudFlow templates, Composer recipes, and internal documentation.
  • Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering on product gaps, friction points, automation opportunities, and improvements.
  • Mentor, coach, and evaluate team members while leading the OKR process and aligning growth plans with company objectives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience architecting, developing, and troubleshooting internet-scale, production-grade distributed systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud.
  • Experience selecting the right tools to solve business problems at the appropriate scale.
  • Proven people leadership experience.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes.
  • Experience with networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, network topologies, and VPN.
  • Experience with Linux operating system administration and internals such as filesystems and system calls.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills in English.
  • AWS Certified Professional Solution Architect is a bonus.
  • Some software development experience in languages such as Java, Python, PHP, Go, or Rust, plus shell scripting, is a bonus.
