Description

  • Lead, grow, mentor, and develop a high-performing Site Reliability Engineering team.
  • Define and execute the organization-wide SRE platform and reliability strategy in partnership with infrastructure and development teams.
  • Own 24/7 on-call, incident management, operational procedures, tooling, reporting, and continuous improvement of incident response.
  • Establish team KPIs and operational metrics to measure service health, productivity, and performance improvements.
  • Oversee the design and evolution of the observability ecosystem, including standardized logging, tracing, telemetry, and intelligent sampling.
  • Drive operational excellence, reliability culture, post-incident reviews, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead large-scale reliability initiatives, manage technical debt, and align technical delivery with organizational goals.
  • Facilitate technical workshops, build engineering community, resolve conflicts, and collaborate with distributed teams.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in SRE, infrastructure, or DevOps roles supporting high-scale distributed environments.
  • Formal people-management experience leading, mentoring, and developing SRE or DevOps teams.
  • Experience building scalable, reliable, and observable infrastructure across Azure, Kubernetes, and on-premises environments.
  • Ability to develop end-to-end reliability strategies, improve architecture, and deliver large technical projects from design through production.
  • Strong Python skills for automation, internal tools, and scripting.
  • Expertise with Kubernetes, Ansible, and resilient infrastructure design on Azure and on premises.
  • Deep observability engineering experience with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, Tempo, and Thanos.
  • Experience applying AI/ML to AIOps, anomaly detection, log analysis, or reliability workflow optimization.
  • Ability to partner with product engineering teams, drive cultural change, and work effectively with remote or distributed teams.
  • Experience with commercial APM platforms such as Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic, chaos engineering tools, and FinOps principles (preferred).
