Description

  • Architect and improve the reliability, availability, and performance of multi-region microservices, APIs, and authentication infrastructure on AWS and GCP.
  • Build and maintain disaster recovery, automated multi-region failover, and business-continuity processes that meet RTO/RPO objectives.
  • Define and enforce SLI, SLO, and error-budget frameworks across engineering teams.
  • Lead observability strategy in Datadog, including Golden Signals monitoring and alert optimization.
  • Manage on-call escalations and major incidents while maintaining 99.99% availability SLAs.
  • Facilitate blameless incident reviews and deliver root-cause remediations to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage and scale production Kubernetes/EKS clusters using GitOps workflows and deployment patterns.
  • Develop Terraform-based infrastructure across multi-account, multi-region cloud environments.
  • Create FinOps dashboards and drive cloud cost optimization, resource utilization, and unit-economics visibility.
  • Build Python or Go automation, integrations, operational runbooks, and architecture records; mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering supporting 24/7, mission-critical distributed systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
  • Advanced Python or Go software engineering experience for internal platforms, tooling, and API integrations.
  • Hands-on production Kubernetes experience, including EKS/GKE lifecycle management, networking, RBAC, ingress/egress, and Argo CD GitOps workflows.
  • Deep Terraform expertise, including module architecture and state-management refactoring, across multi-account AWS environments.
  • Experience with AWS/GCP infrastructure, including IAM, VPCs, Transit Gateway, ALB/NLB, and Route 53.
  • Demonstrated experience with FinOps, cloud cost optimization, right-sizing, tagging, workload optimization, and cost dashboards.
  • Experience designing and testing multi-region disaster recovery, automated failover, SLI/SLOs, PagerDuty schedules, and observability platforms.
  • Experience with service meshes and ingress/proxy systems, such as Istio, Linkerd, HAProxy, or NGINX.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; authorized to work and located in the country specified for the role, with availability for assigned on-call shifts.
