Description

  • Prospect, qualify, and generate new business for federal and defense customers.
  • Sell technical products and services to defense and federal accounts.
  • Drive strategic revenue growth within the federal customer segment.
  • Build relationships with engineering, program management, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
  • Set up sales calls with company executives and engineers and qualify leads.
  • Collaborate with technical staff and internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Manage CRM data accurately and maintain sales records in company systems.
  • Propose winning solutions, negotiate contract terms, and support deal closure.
  • Participate in ongoing training and mentoring programs.
  • Work in compliance with Xometry quality and safety systems, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in federal acquisition, either in government or industry; Navy or Air Force experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of sales experience in a closing, quota-carrying role.
  • 2+ years of experience selling technical products or services in the manufacturing space.
  • Knowledge of government contracting and procurement processes, including FAR and DFARS.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing or engineering is highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel 30-50% of the time.
  • High proficiency with in-person and virtual customer presentations.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Zoom/WebEx/GoToMeeting.
  • CRM experience with Salesforce or similar systems.
  • Strong prospecting and sales planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
