Description

  • Lead end-to-end engineering delivery for wallet, payments, custody integration, KYC, ledger, account management, and the broader product layer.
  • Recruit, onboard, and scale the founding engineering team.
  • Establish engineering culture, rituals, hiring standards, and technical practices from day one.
  • Define and build the integration framework for infrastructure partners.
  • Make build-vs-buy decisions and lead vendor discussions.
  • Partner with architecture and product teams to shape the platform approach and leverage the GoTymeX platform where appropriate.
  • Establish and run an AI-native engineering practice with modern tooling, continuous delivery, feature-flagged rollouts, and synthetic users in production.
  • Work closely with Product, Design, Compliance, Legal, and engineering teams across GoTyme entities to deliver a coherent regulated proposition.
  • Stay close to the code and provide credible technical direction from zero to one and beyond.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in a digital bank, modern payments company, crypto exchange, regulated fintech, or embedded finance platform.
  • Experience in financial services and crypto.
  • Proven experience shipping regulated products and on-chain products.
  • Strong full-stack engineering background across modern frontend frameworks and backend technologies.
  • Experience leading multi-vendor orchestration in an API-first setup, including roadmaps, SLAs, and commercial support discussions.
  • Demonstrated success hiring and building remote and hybrid engineering teams across multiple time zones.
  • Experience operating in regulated fintech environments across multiple jurisdictions and working with compliance, risk, and regulators such as MiCA, CASP, VARA, and MAS DPT.
  • AI-native operating mode with hands-on experience using AI tooling as a default.
  • Startup or scale-up experience with a founder-like, hands-on approach and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Strong plus: experience with distributed-ledger technologies, MPC/HSM, signing infrastructure, wallet and payment infrastructure, core banking and ledger systems, identity/fraud/AML/travel rule tooling, card issuing/processing, and Web3 architecture.
  • Strong plus: deep AWS and serverless-native experience, including Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, and DynamoDB.
  • Strong plus: data-first architecture experience in a complex regulated environment.
  • Strong plus: experience as a founding engineer or first engineering leader on a new product or business line.
  • Strong plus: experience with tools and languages such as Java, Python, Swift, Kotlin, Databricks, Datadog, AWS, and LaunchDarkly.
