Description

  • Oversee delivery of a large solar program outreach team to meet goals on time, on budget, and with high client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with information systems to develop, maintain, and enhance custom software used to implement programs.
  • Monitor program metrics, budgets, and timelines, and proactively address risks and bottlenecks.
  • Stay current on energy codes, incentive programs, and emerging technologies to inform strategy.
  • Review and approve client deliverables, proposals, and reports for compliance and quality.
  • Lead, supervise, and support internal staff and subcontractors across a multidisciplinary team.
  • Manage staffing, recruiting, workload distribution, and work assignments.
  • Facilitate internal communications, team meetings, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Maintain client, partner, and stakeholder relationships and resolve issues.
  • Support proposals, business development efforts, and strategic growth planning for DER products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, energy, policy, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with program implementation and growth, ideally in demand response and/or storage program administration.
  • 12+ years of work experience, including at least 5 years of supervision and leadership of multigenerational teams.
  • Familiarity with the North American solar market, ideally in energy and utility business and the Illinois or income-qualified offerings space.
  • Experience working with or managing operational, implementation, or product teams.
  • Familiarity with software development and translating client needs into software costs and timelines.
  • Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills.
  • Experience leading contract negotiations and renewals with clients.
  • Strong client management, project management, and organizational leadership experience.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost management, and maximizing profitability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and communicate effectively in writing and in person.
  • Quarterly travel to Chicago is required; additional travel as needed.
  • Preferred location in Chicago, with U.S.-based remote candidates considered if they can travel to Chicago at least once per quarter.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely and ability to complete a background check and drug screen.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $145,000-$180,000.
  • Target compensation of $145,000-$171,000 based on experience and qualifications.
