Description

  • Research, evaluate, and prioritize tradeshows, conferences, and industry events aligned with ICP and revenue goals.
  • Own and maintain a rolling 12-month event calendar.
  • Negotiate sponsorships, booth space, speaking opportunities, and other event add-ons with organizers, vendors, and venues.
  • Plan and execute events end to end, including booth design, shipping, swag, collateral, lead capture, badge scanners, AV, catering, hotel blocks, and travel logistics.
  • Attend events on site as the main point of contact, including booth setup, teardown, troubleshooting, and in-person representation.
  • Brief internal attendees on event objectives, talking points, target accounts, and logistics.
  • Partner with sales to schedule pre-show meetings, host customer dinners and on-site events, and ensure leads are captured, qualified, and followed up on quickly.
  • Collaborate with marketing on pre- and post-event email campaigns, landing pages, paid promotion, and social content to drive attendance and meetings.
  • Manage the event budget, track spend, forecast costs, and make trade-off decisions across the full event calendar.
  • Define event KPIs and create post-event reports that measure leads, meetings, pipeline, ROI, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Own digital events such as webinars and podcasts, including hosting and serving as the face of the company for those programs.

Requirements

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or event coordination, ideally in B2B or tech.
  • Demonstrated experience organizing events end to end, including smaller-scale programs.
  • Experience managing an events budget and making ROI-focused trade-off decisions.
  • Ability to define KPIs and build reports that connect event activity to pipeline and revenue.
  • Hands-on experience using AI to improve event marketing work; this is required, not optional.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot on the CRM side.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, vendors, and multiple moving pieces.
  • Comfort negotiating with vendors and event organizers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems quickly during events.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 30% to 50% during peak event seasons across North America, with potential European travel as the company expands.
  • Must be based in the US or Canada, live within roughly an hour of a major airport hub with strong direct flights, and have the right to work in the country of residence; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Experience with event platforms such as Cvent, Splash, Bizzabo, or Goldcast is preferred.
  • Experience working with international events or vendors is preferred.
  • Background in B2B SaaS or a similar fast-paced tech environment is preferred.
