Description

  • Design and implement scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices.
  • Translate business and product requirements into clean, maintainable system designs.
  • Build fault-tolerant, high-availability systems that can handle scale.
  • Optimize database queries, caching layers, and overall service performance.
  • Implement observability practices including logging, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive permanent, scalable fixes.
  • Deploy and manage applications across cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code and improve CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work cross-functionally with frontend, product, QA, and DevOps teams.
  • Mentor junior developers, contribute to architectural discussions, and support technical documentation.

Requirements

  • 4–8 years of professional backend engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or Go.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and distributed system principles.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud infrastructure, containerization, and orchestration tools such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization standards such as OAuth and JWT.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments; Domain-Driven Design, high-traffic or real-time systems, fintech/SaaS experience, and open-source contributions are preferred.
