Description

  • Become fluent in clinical messaging, sample collection, ordering and shipping protocols, and reimbursement and coverage messaging for genomic diagnostic products.
  • Reinforce the value proposition of diagnostic products in alignment with customer health system and clinical practice goals.
  • Navigate complex health systems and engage key stakeholders to support product use and identify business growth opportunities.
  • Develop strong long-term relationships with clinical customers and medical staff while owning assigned accounts.
  • Analyze territory data and use it to develop strategic plans and execute daily activities.
  • Establish repeatable account protocols for collection and ordering, including patient selection criteria, sample logistics, and facility processes.
  • Develop clear territory plans to exceed territory goals.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teammates to maintain and grow business across the testing portfolio.
  • Comply with all laws, regulations, and policies governing Veracyte activities.
  • Travel regularly by air or car, including overnight travel.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in medical diagnostics, medical device, or biopharmaceuticals.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Science-based degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience calling on complex health systems, IDNs, and academic institutions with multiple key influencers.
  • Ability to navigate a complicated sales cycle to generate new genomic test volume.
  • Comfort selling clinically in person or virtually in office or hospital environments.
  • Experience maintaining and growing an existing customer base across a large geography.
  • Experience managing multiple accounts and products.
  • Ideally, experience selling in a procedure environment.
  • Strong time management and business acumen.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, oral, and presentation skills, with attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team-player mindset with the ability to coordinate with partners and communicate priorities and issues.
  • Ability to keep organizational vision and values at the forefront of daily actions.
  • Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight trips.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $108,000 to $128,000 USD.
  • May be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses and incentives.
