Description

  • Become fluent in clinical messaging, sample collection, ordering, shipping, reimbursement, and coverage protocols for genomic diagnostic products.
  • Reinforce the value of Veracyte’s diagnostic tests to customers in alignment with their patient care and practice goals.
  • Navigate complex health systems and engage key stakeholders to grow business across product lines.
  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with clinical customers and medical staff as a trusted resource.
  • Analyze territory data and develop strategic plans for daily execution.
  • Establish repeatable account-level protocols for collection and ordering, including patient selection criteria, sample logistics, and facility processes.
  • Develop actionable territory plans to exceed territory goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teammates to maintain and grow business across the testing portfolio.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies governing Veracyte activities.
  • Travel regularly by air or car, including overnight trips.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in medical diagnostics, medical device, or biopharmaceuticals.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Science-based degree in biology, chemistry, or a related area preferred.
  • Proven experience calling on complex health systems, IDNs, and academic institutions with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate a complex sales cycle and generate new genomic test volume.
  • Experience selling clinically in person or virtually in office or hospital environments.
  • History of maintaining and growing an existing customer base across a large geography.
  • Experience managing multiple accounts and products.
  • Strong time management, business acumen, communication, presentation, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Experience working in a procedure environment is preferred.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $108,000 to $128,000 USD.
  • May be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
  • May be eligible for restricted stock units.
