Description

  • Lead the design and delivery of critical product components for a core product area.
  • Own critical components end-to-end and improve system quality, scalability, and reliability.
  • Design, build, and scale REST APIs and large-scale data processing pipelines.
  • Architect and optimize backend services for high-throughput, low-latency performance.
  • Develop data-intensive and event-driven applications using Python, Typescript, C#, and AWS-native services.
  • Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across microservices and cloud infrastructure.
  • Partner with senior engineers, architects, DevOps, and QA throughout the full development lifecycle.
  • Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and raise engineering quality standards.
  • Drive technical alignment across teams and contribute to engineering standards and processes.
  • Evaluate new technologies, tools, and approaches and recommend solutions based on trade-offs and ROI.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
  • 3+ years of experience with Typescript, Node.js, or C#.
  • Advanced experience with AWS services such as EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, and Step Functions.
  • Proven experience with large datasets, distributed computing, and batch or stream processing using Spark, Dask, EMR, Glue, Kafka, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, scalability patterns, and cloud architecture.
  • Ability to break down ambiguous problems into scalable technical solutions.
  • Experience building secure, reliable, and compliant systems by design.
  • Experience with data-driven or ML-enabled systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, or performance optimization is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
