Description

  • Own the full lifecycle of an integration, from architecture and implementation to production operation after launch.
  • Design auth and identity flows, multi-tenancy, data movement controls, performance, and production behavior.
  • Run the systems you build, including infrastructure, CI, deployment, observability, and on-call support.
  • Build on top of external platforms and navigate constraints you do not control, including documentation gaps and partner timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams to define interfaces and keep work moving across dependencies.
  • Set technical direction for a growing founding team and establish the defaults future team members will inherit.
  • Write design documents, RFCs, and other written proposals that shape team decisions and roadmap direction.
  • Communicate risks clearly and make informed tradeoffs in ambiguous, trust-boundary-heavy environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience, with significant work on data-heavy or integration-oriented systems.
  • Strong backend and systems engineering instincts, including the ability to reason about deployment topology, multi-tenancy, and data movement.
  • Experience with modern auth protocols, service principals, and identity federation across trust boundaries.
  • Experience building on third-party platforms and working through incomplete documentation or breaking changes.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and shipping before specifications are fully finished.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers across teams you do not own.
  • Backend-first experience with enough JavaScript / TypeScript proficiency to contribute when needed.
  • Ability to use AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot effectively and transparently.
  • Strong written communication skills for design docs, PRs, and RFCs.
  • Familiarity with a major cloud data or analytics platform ecosystem is a plus.
  • Deep experience in auth and identity federation, or experience shipping through a partner marketplace or certification process, is a plus.
  • Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms and their isolation or deployment topology is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of ClickHouse or another columnar / OLAP engine is a plus.
