Description

Design, develop, implement, and deploy high-quality backend solutions from conception to production.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable software products.
Design and implement robust, scalable APIs consumed by other teams.
Support integration of backend solutions with cloud services, preferably on AWS using serverless architectures.
Build and support distributed systems using event-driven architecture patterns.
Design, implement, and manage NoSQL data storage solutions such as DynamoDB.
Apply domain-driven design principles to model complex business domains.
Write unit tests for new features and apply development best practices to improve reliability and maintainability.
Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and agile ceremonies such as planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with senior engineers, the engineering manager, and the product manager to deliver committed work on time and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
More than 3 years of software development experience.
Strong proficiency in Python.
Solid understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods.
Experience with AWS serverless tools such as DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as CDK or SAM.
Experience with unit testing and test automation.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes.
Understanding of distributed computing principles and experience building scalable systems.
Experience with event-driven systems and tools such as AWS SNS/SQS, EventBridge, Kafka, or similar.
Proficiency with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB.
Experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) concepts.
Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban and agile delivery processes.
Preferred: experience with backend frameworks and libraries.
Preferred: knowledge of data science.
Preferred: familiarity with Git, code review practices, serverless architectures, and cloud computing.
Preferred: hands-on experience reducing technical debt and improving operational efficiency.
