Description

  • Design, develop, implement, and deploy high-quality backend solutions from conception to production.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable software products.
  • Design and implement robust, scalable APIs consumed by other teams.
  • Support integration of backend solutions with cloud services, preferably on AWS using serverless architectures.
  • Build and support distributed systems using event-driven architecture patterns.
  • Design, implement, and manage NoSQL data storage solutions such as DynamoDB.
  • Apply domain-driven design principles to model complex business domains.
  • Write unit tests for new features and apply development best practices to improve reliability and maintainability.
  • Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and agile ceremonies such as planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, the engineering manager, and the product manager to deliver committed work on time and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • More than 3 years of software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods.
  • Experience with AWS serverless tools such as DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as CDK or SAM.
  • Experience with unit testing and test automation.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes.
  • Understanding of distributed computing principles and experience building scalable systems.
  • Experience with event-driven systems and tools such as AWS SNS/SQS, EventBridge, Kafka, or similar.
  • Proficiency with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB.
  • Experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) concepts.
  • Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban and agile delivery processes.
  • Preferred: experience with backend frameworks and libraries.
  • Preferred: knowledge of data science.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Git, code review practices, serverless architectures, and cloud computing.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience reducing technical debt and improving operational efficiency.
