Description

  • Design and implement medallion lakehouse architectures using Delta Lake across client environments.
  • Build and optimize scalable data pipelines with Apache Spark and Databricks Lakeflow.
  • Architect and implement Unity Catalog for governance, lineage, fine-grained access control, Lakehouse Federation, and Delta Sharing.
  • Drive performance tuning, cost governance, and compute optimization on Databricks platforms.
  • Implement and optimize Databricks SQL for enterprise analytics, AI/BI dashboards, and BI tool integrations.
  • Design data models that support both operational reporting and strategic analytics use cases.
  • Build production AI solutions, including RAG pipelines, agent workflows, model serving endpoints, and integrations with external model APIs.
  • Leverage Mosaic AI, AI/BI Genie, and Databricks Apps to develop intelligent data-driven applications.
  • Serve as a technical advisor across client engagements and translate business problems into platform solutions.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including scoping, proposals, and client-facing solution discussions.
  • Lead code reviews, knowledge transfer, and internal practice-building efforts.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, DLT, Databricks SQL, and Spark.
  • Demonstrated experience building pipelines, governing data platforms, and designing Lakehouse architectures in production.
  • Hands-on experience integrating LLMs, building RAG pipelines, and deploying AI-powered solutions on Databricks.
  • Consulting or professional services experience, including scoping work, client communication, delivery under pressure, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with adjacent data technologies such as Snowflake, Salesforce Data Cloud, or dbt is a differentiator.
  • Databricks certifications, especially Data Engineer Professional and ML Engineer Professional, are strongly preferred.
  • MLflow experience for experiment tracking, model registry, and deployment lifecycle management is preferred.
  • Experience with Feature Engineering in Unity Catalog and production model serving is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative environment.
