Description

  • Research and develop new business opportunities within an assigned territory and target key institutional contacts.
  • Source and qualify sales opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, inbound leads, trade show leads, and conferences.
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline and forecast revenue using multiple outreach channels and sales strategies.
  • Partner with Customer Care to prepare quotes, close sales, and support new customers after purchase.
  • Conduct on-site presentations, product demos, and webinar presentations to student groups and institutional prospects.
  • Prioritize and manage meetings with decision makers to advance institutional purchase discussions.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity records, including notes, follow-ups, emails, and call logs.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to share market feedback, customer insights, and data.
  • Meet monthly and quarterly new sales revenue goals and contribute to retention of university and college accounts.
  • Support team meetings, sales improvement initiatives, and assigned projects or action items.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science, marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience or prior use of UWorld to pass the NCLEX exam.
  • Previous experience in education or publishing sales preferred.
  • Proven ability to convert prospects and meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Experience in opportunity qualification, account development, and time management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort presenting and speaking in front of large groups.
  • Ability to solve customer problems using a consultative sales approach.
  • Energetic, outgoing, friendly, persuasive, and goal-oriented demeanor.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% within the assigned territory.
