Description

  • Act as the key technical partner for Account Managers and Customer Success Managers during renewal and upsell motions.
  • Lead technical deep-dives and discovery sessions to identify customer needs and expansion opportunities.
  • Run customized product demonstrations and proof-of-value presentations for existing customers.
  • Design, scope, and validate complex technical solutions and architectures for customers.
  • Architect and deliver API integrations connecting UpGuard to customer systems (e.g., GRC platforms, SIEMs, other security tools).
  • Answer complex technical customer questions and serve as the go-to product authority for the CS team.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, best-practice guides, integration playbooks, and demonstration scripts to enable the Customer Success organization.
  • Collaborate with CSMs, Support, Product, and Sales to troubleshoot issues, refine solutions, and drive commercial outcomes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a customer-facing, post-sales technical role (e.g., Solutions Consultant, Sales Consultant, Technical Account Manager, Professional Services Consultant).
  • Experience in a post-sales or expansion-focused role is highly preferred.
  • Comfortable and effective in a commercial-driven environment, partnering with sales and success teams to achieve revenue goals.
  • Deep understanding of the cybersecurity and GRC ecosystem (examples: ServiceNow, Splunk, SIEMs, other security stack tools).
  • Product-expert mindset with a passion for becoming a deep subject matter expert on a complex software platform.
  • Strong API knowledge and hands-on experience with REST APIs, including reading documentation and using tools like Postman (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both engineers and non-technical stakeholders (e.g., VPs).
  • Structured problem-solving approach and ability to diagnose and resolve ambiguous technical problems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams (CSMs, Support, Product) and enable others through documentation and enablement materials.
  • Successful candidates must pass a national police history check and reference checks; UpGuard cannot support candidates requiring visa sponsorship or relocation (US applicants: hiring currently limited to CA, MD, MA, IL, OR, WA, CO, TX, FL, PA, LA, MO, or DC).
