Description

  • Own the relationship between Unity’s engine and console platform ecosystems, including SDK tracking and platform-feature roadmaps.
  • Ensure Unity meets technical requirements needed for developers to pass first-party console certification.
  • Own Unity’s audio and video backend capabilities across import, transcode, build, and runtime playback.
  • Work with internal teams, end users, and external hardware partners to define product requirements and keep developers unblocked as platform needs change.
  • Extract, analyze, and visualize quantitative and qualitative data to inform product and user-experience decisions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, and Product Design to build and deliver roadmaps.
  • Partner with Product Marketing on go-to-market plans and partner cross-promotional opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven technical product management experience with a background in game development and feature delivery.
  • Strong technical background in console game development.
  • Deep understanding of the console publishing process.
  • Strong product leadership with user empathy and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong technical communication skills with the ability to translate customer feedback into underlying needs.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with data analysis tools.
  • Experience with media or content pipelines, including audio/video codecs, container formats, transcoding, or runtime playback (preferred).
  • Experience shipping Unity games to console platforms (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience integrating platform features or submitting titles to platform certification (preferred).
  • Ability to communicate professionally in English in verbal and written exchanges.
