Description

  • Take partially defined requirements and turn them into detailed specifications or implemented solutions.
  • Work closely with business partners, business analysts, project managers, and the integration team to solve business problems.
  • Design, implement, and deliver highly scalable solutions using modern cloud-based architectures.
  • Build and evolve Typescript-based backend services for the commerce platform.
  • Develop reliable and scalable APIs and RESTful microservices.
  • Support, optimize, and automate internal processes.
  • Own system problems and drive them to resolution.
  • Make architectural decisions and lead backend design efforts across the team.
  • Design, implement, and deliver unit tests and automated testing where needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a backend microservice engineer.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing scalable and reliable microservices.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, particularly for service-layer development.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and executing unit tests.
  • Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, queues, and alerting systems.
  • Strong track record designing and implementing RESTful microservices.
  • Comfort taking ownership of system design and architectural decisions.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud Run and Pub/Sub (preferred).
  • Experience deploying and operating services in Kubernetes (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience as an administrator or integrator with Salesforce, Zuora, Commercetools, or similar headless commerce platforms (preferred).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions (preferred).
  • Prior experience working with enterprise systems such as commerce, subscriptions, ERP, CRM, or supply chain solutions (preferred).
  • Exposure to modern API paradigms and design patterns (preferred).
  • Sufficient knowledge of English for frequent professional verbal and written communication with global colleagues and partners.
  • Relocation support is not available for this position.
