Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance back-end systems, APIs, and databases for web and mobile applications.
  • Architect scalable, secure, and efficient server-side solutions that support high transaction volumes and fintech standards.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver features and services seamlessly.
  • Join and contribute to a team of back-end developers while helping foster technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Implement code quality, testing, and deployment best practices, including code reviews and automated testing frameworks.
  • Stay current on back-end development, blockchain, and fintech trends and recommend improvements.
  • Champion the thoughtful adoption of AI to improve team performance and business outcomes.
  • Use AI tools such as generative AI, automation platforms, and data copilots to improve productivity and output quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in back-end development.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a senior role.
  • Hands-on experience with Node, Express, TypeScript, and related frameworks such as Nest.js.
  • Experience building REST APIs and other services.
  • Strong experience with SQL.
  • Exposure to NoSQL is nice to have.
  • Experience with microservices and event-based architecture.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with caching and messaging queues such as Kafka.
  • Experience using Postman and Git/Bitbucket.
  • Prior startup experience taking a product from zero to one is a bonus.
  • Experience in financial markets or brokerages is a bonus.
