Description

  • Define the technical strategy and architectural vision for the Messaging Infra platform, aligning improvements with long-term business goals.
  • Serve as the primary architect for high-volume message delivery systems across multiple messaging channels.
  • Drive technical decisions across multiple teams to maintain a cohesive platform vision.
  • Oversee the planning and rollout of major software releases and updates from design through production deployment.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex performance, scalability, and reliability issues across the messaging platform.
  • Implement proactive monitoring and telemetry to detect and prevent critical incidents.
  • Mentor senior and lead engineers to build technical leadership within the company.
  • Partner with product managers, deliverability and compliance specialists, and other stakeholders to align requirements and resolve conflicts.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and practices to improve systems and internal processes.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals, domain-driven design, and architectural patterns in distributed systems.
  • Proven experience building and scaling complex distributed systems.
  • BA or BS degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Deep expertise in languages such as Python or Go.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to product and platform vision and defining long-term technical strategy.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system integration.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience experimenting with or using AI in work or personal projects, with interest in learning responsible AI workflows.
  • Nice to have: experience with email and/or SMS ecosystems, including DKIM, DMARC, SPF, and related compliance requirements.
  • Nice to have: background in performance optimization and deep scalability debugging.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with complex test data management, including large datasets and production-like data replication.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $216,000 to $324,000 USD for U.S. locations.
  • Eligibility for the company’s annual cash bonus plan.
  • Equity as part of the total compensation package.
  • Sign-on payments may be included.
  • Comprehensive health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits, subject to eligibility.
  • Up to 10% travel for onboarding, client or partner work, team meetings, and industry events, coordinated in advance.
