Description

  • Perform manual testing of backend REST APIs and WebSocket flows using Postman, Swagger, and curl.
  • Validate data and prepare test states in MongoDB.
  • Test backend features, bug fixes, smoke, sanity, regression, and post-release production checks.
  • Create and maintain test cases, checklists, and bug reports using Qase and Jira.
  • Review product requirements and technical designs before implementation.
  • Test A/B experiments, monetization and subscription flows, analytics events, admin panels, brand settings, and feature flags.
  • Investigate issues using Grafana logs and metrics, identify root causes, and distinguish client-side from backend defects.
  • Contribute to improved testing efficiency and product quality.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in manual backend testing with API tools such as Postman, Swagger, or curl.
  • Hands-on MongoDB experience, including filters, projections, aggregation pipelines, MongoDB Compass, or mongosh; SQL experience is an alternative, while MongoDB is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HTTP and REST fundamentals, including methods, status codes, headers, token-based authorization, and REST versus WebSocket.
  • Knowledge of test design techniques including equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, and decision tables.
  • Experience with Qase, TestRail, or similar test management systems, plus Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience testing A/B experiments and analytics events, including BigQuery or SQL.
  • Experience testing payment and subscription flows, including Apple and Google in-app purchases and web billing.
  • Intermediate English proficiency (B1) or higher.
  • Familiarity with Grafana, Loki, or Kibana and proxy tools such as Charles or Proxyman is preferred.
  • Basic API automation skills using JavaScript, TypeScript, or Postman tests are preferred.
