Description

  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new opportunities across federal, civilian, and DoD agencies to build the sales pipeline.
  • Manage long-cycle sales processes and work toward meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government buyers, procurement officers, key stakeholders, and vendor partners.
  • Support the proposal team in developing proposals that meet government requirements.
  • Navigate federal procurement regulations, acquisition processes, and contract vehicles such as GSA schedules and IDIQs.
  • Research agencies and stakeholders using CRM and other research tools such as Salesforce and GovWin.
  • Develop and deliver product demonstrations and use partner ecosystems to expand market share.
  • Monitor government funding cycles, industry trends, and competitor activity to inform sales strategy.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions, activities, and contacts in Salesforce.
  • Travel to client sites, government offices, and industry conferences and events as needed.

Requirements

  • 3–10 years of sales experience in cybersecurity, cloud, or technical solutions.
  • Experience in B2B or government sales.
  • Understanding of federal buying habits, long-cycle sales, and government procurement regulations.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce for forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites, government offices, and industry events.
  • Ability to pass security clearance or background checks/investigations for site access.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with federal contract vehicles such as GSA schedules or IDIQs preferred.
  • Experience using research tools such as GovWin preferred.
