Description

  • Build, grow, and maintain parts of the Triptease product stack across frontend and backend systems.
  • Work in a small, autonomous squad that owns its strategy, delivery, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, customer-facing teams, and hoteliers to validate ideas and shape solutions.
  • Develop and ship changes through trunk-based development and continuous delivery practices.
  • Write and maintain tests as part of an incremental development process.
  • Refactor and improve existing code to keep the codebase modular, functional, and maintainable.
  • Participate in pair programming, standups, planning sessions, retrospectives, and feedback sessions.
  • Support delivery pipelines, A/B testing, real-time analytics, and production monitoring.
  • Contribute to a highly scaled platform serving around 10k hotels and millions of daily guest events.
  • Take part in weekly company demos to showcase progress and share accomplishments.

Requirements

  • Collaborative, open-minded, and committed to continued craft development.
  • Comfortable pair programming throughout the day.
  • Experience building distributed, high-availability, high-throughput systems while maintaining data consistency.
  • Strong ability to write clear, concise code that rarely needs comments.
  • Experience with refactoring techniques and improving code continuously.
  • Strong testing mindset, with experience using tests to drive application design.
  • Ability to build solutions end-to-end from client-side through server-side.
  • Solid understanding of HTTP and how the internet works.
  • Experience building deployment pipelines and continuous delivery on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with delivery pipelines, A/B testing, real-time analytics, and monitoring tools like DataDog.
  • Customer-centric mindset and ability to work well with product managers.
  • Preferred: entrepreneurial streak with examples of spotting and acting on opportunities.
  • Preferred: experience working in cross-functional teams using XP and Kanban techniques.
  • Preferred: experience with multiple programming languages and drawing ideas from other ecosystems.
