Description

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines across core systems.
  • Own the full lifecycle of data architecture, modeling, tooling, and reliability.
  • Build and manage analytics infrastructure using open-source and commercial tools.
  • Ensure data quality, schema discipline, and operational reliability across data systems.
  • Deliver clean, consistent data models and dashboards used by multiple teams.
  • Collaborate with technical leadership to define the data engineering strategy from the ground up.
  • Work with stakeholders to support analytics, business intelligence, and decision-making initiatives.
  • Handle operational responsibilities related to data engineering systems and processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
  • Experience as the first data hire is a strong plus.
  • Strong SQL skills and real programming ability, with Python preferred.
  • Production experience with data tools such as Airflow, dbt, and Fivetran.
  • Experience integrating APIs and working with warehouses or lakes such as Redshift, ClickHouse, or similar.
  • Experience with analytics and BI tools such as Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Comfortable with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code, with AWS strongly preferred.
  • Ability to understand business needs and collaborate with non-technical teams on their use cases.
  • Embedded and real-time analytics experience is a plus.
  • Experience with streaming architectures such as Kinesis or Kafka is a plus.
  • Experience with ClickHouse, ELK, VictoriaMetrics, or reverse-ETL is a plus.
