Description

  • Serve as a key member of the platform account team and help define customer strategy for complex opportunities.
  • Build trusted relationships with C-level executives and technical decision makers, providing business and technical thought leadership.
  • Understand customer business objectives and design Stripe-based solutions to address their challenges.
  • Develop customer transformation journeys, future roadmaps, and architectures with third-party integrations.
  • Conduct business analysis and background research on customers, industries, and competitors.
  • Lead strategy engagements, executive briefings, readouts, presentations, and solution demos to secure the technical win.
  • Expand Stripe’s footprint within existing accounts by introducing new capabilities and local payment methods.
  • Act as the voice of the customer by surfacing insights, trends, and opportunities to leadership, product, and engineering teams.
  • Participate in sales forecasting, quarterly business reviews, and account/territory planning.
  • Manage pre-sales projects, including proof-of-concept development and feasibility checks.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar customer-facing engineering role such as solution consultant, solutions architect, or sales engineer for a global software enterprise.
  • Strong executive engagement skills with the ability to build credibility and relationships at all levels.
  • Experience facilitating group discussions and leading customer meetings to pursue strategic opportunities.
  • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and API architecture.
  • Outstanding spoken and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of Stripe Connect, including features and integration methodologies.
  • Understanding of Stripe Payments and Billing systems and how they apply across different business models.
  • Ability to understand how ERP, CRM, Billing, Tax, and legacy systems interact within a platform ecosystem.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • Experience in the payments space, technical sales, Stripe or other RESTful API integrations, systems design, cloud software adoption, or complex application development (preferred).
